188The 4th-generation Acura MDX is set to arrive early next year, and this MDX Prototype is our first look at what to expect. The 2022 Acura MDX gets fresh style, an upgraded interior, an incredible audio system, and a new optional trim and engine.
Most will be happy with the standard 290-horsepower 3.5-liter V6 version, but others should hold out for the upcoming 355-hp 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 Type S model. That one comes standard with SH-AWD and should be an entertaining option in the premium/luxury crossover SUV space.
The 2022 Acura MDX goes on sale in early 2021. The Type S will follow later in the summer.
