130The new Civic Sedan is good but the real magic is happening with the 2022 Honda Civic hatchback!
We have all that interior new Civic magic applied to a more enticing package with better powertrain options. The new 2022 Civic hatchback boasts the option of a manual gearbox.
Standard on the LX and Sport trims, you’ll find a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine making 158 hp and 138 lb-ft of torque. The EX-L and Sport Touring models get a 1.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder that produces 180 hp and 177 lb-ft of torque.
Now, each engine comes standard with a CVT, but the Sport and Sport Touring models are available with a 6-speed manual. And both of the CVT versions of those trims feature a selectable Sport driving mode that alters throttle mapping and CVT ratios for a more engaging experience.
Honda says it's tuned the chassis of the Civic Hatchback for fun. You have a MacPherson setup upfront, a wider rear track, and a longer wheelbase.
