2022 Toyota 4Runner TRD Off Road POV Walkaround and Test Drive
24Take a point of view look at the 2022 Toyota 4Runner in this POV video! Check out the NEW 2022 Toyota 4Runner TRD Off Road! However there really isn't anything new about it.. The 2022 Toyota 4Runner is still the same SUV we've seen for many years as the 5th generation 4Runner. This video we take a look at the 4Runner TRD Off Road to see what it's all about! I love the gift kit with bronze wheels and off road tires on this particular spec 4Runner. Still a great looking off road focused SUV and it looks cool lifted. The 4Runner TRD Off Road has a rugged design with TOYOTA written in the grille and has some silver trim pieces on the bumpers. The lift kit gives it even better off road capabilities and the stance looks really cool! Interior has the Softex synthetic leather for the seats which looks pretty good and is durable. The 4Runner is a pretty old SUV packing a V6 and a 5 speed automatic transmission. It's pretty slow and sluggish to be honest and hopefully it gets a major update with a hybrid or twin turbo for the 6th generation 4Runner. Suspension is soft and absorbs bumps well, and is pretty good off road, however the brake dive and body roll is very bad on road and can make back seat passenger a bit car sick. Interior tech has been the same forever but you get the basics like navigation, sunroof, heated seats and safety systems. Overall the TRD Off Road 4Runner is a good old school SUV to buy that is rock solid reliable and very useable! Add some stiffer suspension with a lift kit and it will be a solid choice! Still slow, but a fun rugged SUV that's body on frame.
