The new prius was a huge departure from the norm because it needed to be. They didn't just make it look swoopy, they changed everything except the efficency. Is that enough to make it better than the Hyundai Elantra/Sonata hybrid, upcoming Honda Civic Hybrid and Accord Hybrid and copious amounts of EVs? Yes (at least for me). Will it be tarnished by low supply, high demand, and toyota dealers? Probably.
