#222 Virtua Fighter 5 PS3 \\ Jeffry throws a Splash Mountain party! (VF5 Quest Mode)
Playing pankration practitioner Jeffry McWild in Quest mode--on Hard difficulty--of Virtua Fighter 5 on PS3, from 8th dan rank!
I win some really cool pants for the Type A from a tournament toward the end--I think next time I'll combine elements of my Type D costume into Type A, oh man he's gonna be so cool.
Mostly though I actually start digging into throws (even a stap at crouch throws and (even less) at prone throws) starting at about 27 minutes in, and find a quick fave: the massively damaging, not-too-hard-to-do "Splash Mountain" (df,dfGP)! : D
It's always gonna make me think of Hugo yelling "HAMMER MOUNTAIN" during his "Hammer Frenzy" super move in 3rd Strike: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_RfHZfeEKYQ&t=524s ^_^
We're goin' there!
0:00 - status & costumes
3:02 - fighting in Club Sega Downtown (beginner/intermediate)
15:30 - Sega World Route 101 tournament
19:17 - Club Sega Downtown!
1:08:21 - Sega Arena Coast tournament (beginner)
1:09:29 - promoted to 9th dan!
1:12:16 - Black Linen Pants!
1:21:55 - wrap-up & what's next!
My first character to 9th dan! My ranking up has really slowed down since I hit 8th dan, I guess because I'm still fighting mostly in the beginner arcades. ; )
Notes:
13'02 - a similar handle, anyway
18'46 - once again I swear off 5 round tournaments...
19'53 - no, I think those *are* the gray Jeffry Type A pants--compare w/ his belt color (l'Oasi, 5th kyu Downtown Jeffry)
27'02 - Jeffry's standing throw list
28'29 - Splash Mountain!!
34'06 - Jeffry's crouch throw list
35'43 - Jeffry's down (prone) throw list
39'41 - come to think of it, in a previous episode I think bPP worked well vs Flamingo
39'41 - cool long-sleeved black costume on 4th dan Downtown Sarah (koso)
40'27 - oh yeah, and my Sarah's Flamingo was getting stuffed by crouch jabs a lot in her last episode
Note to self: You have the VF Climax tournament waiting!!
