You can start this Substory in Chapter 1, but you can't complete it until Chapter 6. Once you complete Substory #23, you'll be approached upon leaving the gym. This gentleman is Yasuo Sodachi, leader of the Sodachi Dojo, a returning character from Yakuza 4 and 5. While he had a lot more interaction with Saejima, Kiryu barely remembers him. Long story short, he wants to fight you. Drop him like a sack of potatoes. He'll swear he'll get stronger and try again. You'll find him walking around the streets as a Troublr mission looking like a purple dot on the minimap, so talk to him so you two can fight. Do this twice, then, if you're in Chapter 6, you'll get a text calling you to Children's Park. Go there and waste Sodachi one last time and he'll join the Kiryu Clan.
