U.S. Air Force Col. Doyle Pompa, the 35th Operations Group commander, talks about the role of the 35th Fighter Wing in RED FLAG-Alaska 23-1 on Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska, Oct. 12, 2022.

As the lead wing, the 35th FW is responsible for the execution and employment for all the exercise's participating units which includes approximately 1,000 personnel, 55 aircraft, NATO partners, Royal Air Force and Royal New Zealand Air Force.
