The third and final hidden boss to cover is Jade, a green female Ninja. She is fought by only using the low kick button in the fight against the opponent before the question mark block on the fighting tower. Despite being the easiest to reach, she's easily the most difficult to fight, given her incredible speed, improved AI and immunity to projectiles. I'm not sure I've ever actually defeated her.
So, this is the only legitimate playthrough for MK2 I'm doing. The others for Noob and Smoke had their AI's reduced, namely because the game is so difficult, and it seemed a waste to not be able to do a full playthrough with them. Jade, with her projectile immunity, makes a playthrough against the regular AI bearable, though still considerably difficult as will probably be apparent from this video.
Jade is a Kitana palette-swap. This is good, as Kitana is a considerably better character in terms of moves than Mileena is, at least in my opinion. Her fan-wave and fan-throw moves are versatile and incredibly useful against the AI, especially when having projectile-immunity, and this makes Jade the only realistic playthrough to do with the hidden bosses. Ultimately though, she is just a palette swap, and it's more about the importance of being able to play as her, than it is about actually playing as her. Jade, like Noob and Smoke, would be developed significantly more as a character in later games, but like Noob and Smoke we will be seeing her classic form when I get to the Mortal Kombat 9.
