Next week the Gaming Developers Conference (GDC) in San Francisco, CA starts and it appears there are new faces, products and even a new section catering specifically to Virtual Reality.  With this in mind, and the Rift CV and VIVE literally on a boat in the Pacific, game developer companies dropping like flies, is this the much needed jolt  to revive the sagging gaming industry?

Plus we follow up with a several articles written questioning the validity of the "Nefertiti Hack" based upon this show's information, and Paul & Fred's great articles.  We also look into Vulkan - "The DIrectX killer" and how Croteam is already putting it to work. As well as some cool new 3D printing materials and of course our friend the "Print Whisperer" will bestow another tip on how to ensure you get best print, stay on top of things, or just staying healthy as you print.

The Printwhisperer:
Are you printing small parts and some of the subsequent prints not turning out great? It could be that the filament is dirty from retraction. Before you jump to the conclusion that there is an actual hardware malfunction it could be pretty simple. After printing smaller part completes, unload the filament and inspect it. Is it dirty? If it is dirty or not uniform in shape, cut off about 6-10 inches or so and reload it. That way its so fresh and clean clean for the next print.
