Hi Friends Welcome to Viktors Reality:
here we have 3DMARK's Variable Rate Shading benchmark on the Aorus RTX 2080 Xtreme. Both Benchmarks set at 4k. Frame Rates almost double with VRS enabled on the Tier 1 mode and add about 40-50fps on Tier 2. Xbox Series X software tech will greatly improve frame rates and make 4k at 120fps/120hz possible.
Both Benchmarks set at 4k.
*Tier 1: developers can specify a different shading rate for each draw call.
*Tier 2: adds more flexibility and control by allowing different shading rates within each draw call.
*Also, a form of VRS is patented by Xbox for the upcoming Xbox Series X tech for upcoming software.
Fans set at 100% - Room Temp at 72f
Overclocked +80/+730 on the Factory Overclock of 1890core/14140mem.
Nvidia Boost does the rest...
All of my benchmarking shows at least with my X variant of the Xtreme as follows give or take a few digits +/-:
under 45c/2115mhz (Super Rare)
45-50c/2100mhz (Rare)
50-57c/2085mhz (Occasionally)
55-60c/2070mhz (Often)
60c+/2055mhz (Often)
63c+/2040mhz (More Often if +c)
70c+/2040mhz-1980mhz(Base Line)
