The 3DS capture card arrived early so I thought I'd put it through its paces over on the Livestream.

Initial thoughts:

- The video quality is actually pretty great. What you're seeing here is sort of washed-out due to it being a stream capture, but the actual footage is pretty crisp.

- Audio-wise, it's perfect except for a slight buzzing sound in the background. This is due to the nature of capture cards and a ground-loop isolator (which I've ordered but won't be here for a while) can fix this. Balancing the audio as I have seems to render the problem irrelevant though, so...yeah. Need to do more tests in this regard.

- Still working the kinks in regards to window layouts and so on, so any footage you see in these test videos may be a bit on the wonky side. This is easy enough to fix though.


Overall, I'm very happy with the capture card. I have 3-4 3DS playthroughs in mind for it already and you'll be seeing the first one within the next two weeks or so.
