The Highlanders have begun to return from Afghanistan to their home base in Fallingbostel. More than 400 soldiers from 4 SCOTS deployed to Helmand Province under the command of 3 Commando Brigade in April this year. One hundred of them have been reunited with loved ones. 4 SCOTS were the main ground-holding battlegroup in Afghanistan responsible for the area in and around the Lashkar Gah district.
