5⭐️Cormani McClain gives UPDATES on his recruitment!
Cormani McClain, a 5-star cornerback currently committed to Miami, broke his silence on his future plans on Tuesday evening.
McClain has been committed to Miami for months, but he did not sign with the Canes during the Early Signing Period. He has since been linked to programs like Colorado and Alabama.
On Tuesday night, McClain gave an interview on ESPN during the Under Armour All-America Game. He said he plans to sign with a program on Jan. 15.
When asked which other schools he was still considering, McClain only mentioned Miami. He also said that early playing time would play a role in where he signs.
It’s worth noting that McClain can not officially sign a National Letter of Intent with a program until National Signing Day, which is on Feb. 1. However, he would be able to sign a non-binding financial aid agreement with Miami in January.
If Miami can keep McClain in its class, it would be a huge boost for the Canes. Miami’s 2023 recruiting class currently ranks No. 4 nationally, according to 247Sports Composite rankings. McClain is the No. 2 overall player in the country.
National Signing Day is slated for Feb. 1.
