Need for Speed: Most Wanted is an open-world racing game where you're given one task: Become the Most Wanted driver in Fairhaven. Of course between you and that title there's hundreds of angry cops.

I've wanted to do game reviews for a while but there would be nothing that separates me from the others, that's why I came up with 60 Second Reviews. They will tell you the good parts of the game, the not-so-good parts of the game, how fun the games are and how much replay value they offer - essentially all the things you take into account when purchasing a game.

------------------------------------------WRITTEN REVIEW------------------------------------------

Racing games aren't usually my thing. They never manage to keep me engaged and I feel as though they're really limited in terms of gameplay.

Saying that, once I started playing this game, I found it hard to put down. It feels a lot like Burnout Paradise in that you're given so much freedom. You can go wherever you want and do whatever you want, whenever you want.

The visuals are absolutely stunning. The city of Fairhaven is designed really well and it's fun to explore. Also the minor things like the way the brightness changes after coming out a tunnel really ramp up the immersion.

The core racing feels great. It's one of the few racing games where drifting works properly and even the menus are intuitive so you can use them anywhere whilst still driving.

There's also the really cleverly implemented social aspect of the game which constantly has you competing with your friends without having to go out your way - much.

I say much because the online system can be really unstable sometimes. Whilst online play is mostly unaffected.. mostly.. the game seems to constantly disconnect from the servers for no apparent reason.

Also it's a shame that even though there's over a hundred cars which you can easily get, only a couple of them are worth using, the rest are simply inferior.

The racing feels great and it's so fun simply driving around or getting caught up in police chases. Even as a non-racing game fan, I found myself loving Need for Speed Most Wanted so it gets an 8 out of 10 on 60 Second Reviews.

As a perk of being a Machinima partner, I received a free copy of "Need for Speed: Most Wanted" and a monetary bonus for posting this video as part of a promotion for NFSMW.
