#71 Street Fighter II World Warrior Boss Hack (2/4): Sagat playthrough.
A playthrough of Sagat in Yumeji's boss hack for the World Warrior.
Sagat's Moves:
High Tiger Shot: qcf + P
Low Tiger Shot: qcf + K
Tiger Uppercut: f, d, df + P
So here's Sagat, the penultimate boss in the game. He appeared in the original Street Fighter as the final boss, but this time he's only second in command, which is a nice touch I really enjoyed.
Sagat is what is commonly described as a Shotoclone: the most archetypical fighting game character with a fireball, uppercut and usually some sort of kick. Sagat gains his kick in Street Fighter Alpha, as well as a multi-hitting Tiger Uppercut, but in this instance he's a typical boss for the era; three special moves and heavy hitting otherwise.
He's a decent boss, but I certainly had the most trouble with him. He's very much a spammer, making him difficult to have fun with, and his Tiger Uppercut is very finnicky to use; it's really only meant to be used as a counter, so trying to use it offensively can leave you open for an easy counter-attack. Out of the four bosses I have the most difficulty with him because of this, and as a result I only recommend people trying him out if they're really be fans of his, but he's a character who really didn't come into his own until the Alpha series of games. Enjoy.
