8-Pointed 3-D Non-Transforming Ninja Star - Modular Origami
165How to fold an 3-D modular origami 8-pointed star. This model, IMO, looks even cooler than the popular 8-pointed Transforming Ninja Star, but this one does not transform. Made from 8 squares of paper, it works well a cool looking display piece. As I show in the tutorial, the thickness of the star can be adjusted by adjusting the template, and you can even make a 2D version that doesn't require using a template, and that version will fly well as a ninja star!
