This is a quick video about the reasons why I think that the Steam Deck will fail and why it will not reach mainstream success. Are Valve doing this to catapult the Steam Deck into retail stores and into public consciousness? Or are they just doing it to sell more Steam games? Personally I'm very excited by the prospect of being able to play lots of my Steam library in a portable form factor. However I recognise that this portable gaming PC is not going to be for everyone, and that there are many things about this 'console' which are not ideal.
