How Steam Deck will MAX OUT performance with TDP/clock control
This is a super quick video about a very new exciting development, all credit to @ThePhawx please check out his excellent breaking news video on the topic: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8xSgbodizp0
The TDP and clock speeds for CPU/GPU of the Steam Deck is now confirmed to be changeable using software that will be developed by Valve and made open source. This opens up the possibility of being able to develop game profiles for specific situations for example, maximising framerate or battery life. These tweaks could either be distributed by the community, or potentially integrated directly into Steam itself. No specific word on when this software will be released however fingers crossed it will be available by the time the first Steam Decks are shipped in December 2021.
