Channel Fluxx has officially announced 9 brand new pilots coming to their YouTube channel, helping creators find financing for their web series. Two months ago, we ran an open pitch season where anyone could submit their ideas for consideration of a pilot.

After going through a ton of submissions from around the world, we’ve now chosen our fall pilot season. Below is a list of all the new series we’ve got coming down the pipeline for consideration;

1. You Can Do Better is a series about a confident women who’s far from perfect- or normal really. The series follows Kayla Hairy, a twenty four year-old hypochondriac journalist who writes obituaries for random people’s cats.

2. Twisted will take classic children literature and turn them onto their heads. Imagine Green Eggs and Ham as a suspense thriller, or Where’s Waldo as a detective noir- with each episode bringing you a twisted take on the books of your childhood.

3. Sassy & MK’s Days Of Fun is a series about two best friends just looking to earn their “Fun Scout” badges without the help of any pesky supervisors. After a ton of wacky adventures in their hometown, the BFFs decide to take their journey to New York city in order to spread fun times and collect some badges on the side.

4. Grater Good follows self-absorbed con-artist Veronica Grater as she ends up standing before the pearly gates, ready for judgement. Her angelic administrator of admissions offers Veronica a deal she’ll get into heaven if she goes back to earth to use her powers for good. Unfortunately for her, she’s given a bumbling angel by the name of Jeremiah to help guide her on her righteous missions.

5. The Teacher Project is a series about a teacher’s internal conflicts as he tries to control a classroom of unruly kids, unreasonable parents and the bureaucracy behind his job. Breaking the fourth wall, downtrodden Greg Sanders explains in mockumentary fashion his struggles in and out of the classroom.

6. RetroSmash is a nostalgic and nerdy documentary, where you’ll learn about interesting toys, games, electronics and media from the 70 to the 90’s. Series creator Martin Touhey will explore some of the fun things things we took for granted in a fun and informative expose into their creation, their popularity and how a Rubik’s Cube can even change the course of history.

7. Four Friends is about a group of girlfriends from various different cultural and racial backgrounds discovering what it was like for each of them during their childhoods. Each episode focuses on their unique experiences growing up with the heavy shadow of profiling and discrimination in the American south.

8. We also have an ‘Unnamed Project’ from Kyle Niemer, outdoors enthusiast and Chicago-native, who’s wanting to keep his show a secret until it airs.

9. Normal In America follows Nelmar Normal as he takes his first steps into America from Norway. He loves all things Americana and hopes to find his long lost father and become a late night TV show host. Thankfully Nelmar solves two losers rent problem when he offers a ridiculous amount to sleep on their couch. Wait until Nelmar gets a load of their in-home studio though; things could get viral.

"I’m humbled and amazed at how many people submitted to the pitch season, and choosing just nine was not an easy task,” says Lester Bullock, CEO of Channel Fluxx. “We just know these pilots will impress anyone looking for new and creative content.
