A Dad's Guide on How to Work Games Into Your Busy Life Unintrusively
I covered most of what I wanted to cover on this topic, but there was also one more thing I failed to elaborate on. When it comes to running a lot of your old favorites on something like a PSP or similar high efficiency/low power device, there are often versions that will fit better than the originals. Like how SNES emulation on PSP is hit or miss, but things like Tactics Ogre and Ogre Battle had PS1 ports, which work perfectly....or Link to the Past had a GBA port that would work better. There's plenty to consider, but most things that you like probably have a simile or port that would work in that situation.
I may have MGS2/3 on the Vita, but Peace Walker and Portable Ops just scratch the itch more for me. I may have XCOM 2 on everything, but XCOM 1 on Vita is my jam. "Best" isn't always best. Hell, Silent Hill 2 may be amazing, but that doesn't mean I haven't played SH Origins over and over instead.
On top of that, modders have made a lot of impossible ports a reality. San Andreas on Vita, Morrowind on Android, and plenty more. Don't be afraid to try new things. You know what you know only because you haven't learned otherwise.
