Grimgar of Ash and Illusions (Hai to Gensou no Grimgar) is an anime that has quietly passed many viewers by. And in vain.
This is an isekai without the usual pathos, without endless superpowers, and without saving the world. It focuses on something else: the slow character growth, pain and fear even in the first fight with a goblin, an atmosphere of everyday life, and cozy watercolor landscapes.
