Helskate combines the run-based roguelite formula with a Tony Hawk's Pro Skater style of skating gameplay. We've got skate merch as gear, skateboard stickers for passive effects, magic boards that summon weapons, and enchantable tricks for use in and out of combat. Keeping a good combo going while also dodging attacks and slaying enemies is hard but satisfying, and it creates a loop that feels wholly new. As it gets more content and polish, I can see it turning into something great.
