A Lasting Disappointment: Our Thoughts on the Final Episode
In this episode of Beauty & The Beast, we dive deep into our thoughts on the final episode of The Last of Us series. As avid fans of the game franchise, we were eagerly anticipating the conclusion of the TV adaptation. However, as the credits rolled, we couldn't help but feel underwhelmed by what we had just witnessed.
Our main gripe with the final episode was the missed opportunities to delve into some of the more iconic moments from the game. Instead, the writer and director seemed to focus heavily on the LGBTQ backstories of certain characters, which left us feeling disinterested and disconnected from the main plot.
Additionally, we felt that the pacing of the final episode was all over the place. After a slow and methodical build-up in previous episodes, the last episode felt rushed and cramped with too much content. It was almost as if the creators were trying to cram everything in at the last minute to tie up loose ends, instead of taking the time to fully explore the characters and their motivations.
Overall, while we appreciated some of the strong performances and stunning visuals, we ultimately felt that the final episode of The Last of Us series missed the mark. We discuss our disappointment in detail, and offer some suggestions on what could have been done differently to make the conclusion more satisfying for fans of the game.
