BigDunka recently made public a new ELO-based ladder system for racing!
I have been waiting for a better way of racing than SRL racing for a long long time.
Essentially there are 5 rotating race types that cycle for a race starting every 7 hours (so that races start at different times on different days throughout the week)
All Dungeons Keysanity, CrossKeys, Open, Standard, and Ambrosia.
People sign up for the race, races need an even number of people.
All people are divided into individual 1v1 races where you do not know your opponent.
You and your opponent have the same seed with whatever settings the race for that time are, but a different seed from every other set of 1v1s.
You do not find out who your opponent is or if they have finished until you are done.
It provides a happy medium between a large SRL race where odds are you are not going to win, so you play for a high placement (playing safe, covering all your bases, etc) and a 1v1 tournament settings, where you learn about your opponent and play according to them (if opponent always skips left side swamp, maybe you skip it as well because you know if it burns you, it also burns opponent.)

I am a BIG FAN of this system so far and I am looking forward to helping the system improve over time.
