Evolution kindly sent my local mensheds a few tools recently as they were struggling a bit and one of the items was the new F165ccsl circular saw. Weve been putting it through its paces down at the mensheds and its been used for a variety of projects from mostly wood as we dont tend to do much with steel.

Its a good update from the last one and feels good in the hand, adjustment levers and knobs do what they are supposed to do and the multi material blade cuts well without tearing up the wood. Extra long lead as standard, about an extra meter and a half, or 5 feet or so than the old ones, makes a lot of difference if your cutting down large sheets or full lengths of scaffolding boards.

The great thing about the evolution blades is if you accidentally clip a nail or even bolt when cutting itll go straight through it with out smashing the teeth off like you would with a regular tct blade.

Motor is more powerful than its predecessor and we had it ripping down a solid timber door to make a cupboard with barely a struggle.
It seems as good and solid as its predecessors so it should give a fair few years of life I reckon. My old ones are still going strong and theyve been really used quite hard.

Price at the moment is £65.99 on amazon and it comes with a 3year (UK) warranty which is pretty decent considering the ammount of work you could do in that time https://amzn.to/2Nh5Ca4
