This is a review of 999: Nine Hours Nine Persons Nine Doors, one of those famous Japanese visual novels.
A masterpiece of storytelling and puzzle solving.

The adventure takes place aboard a typical early 20th century ship.
Junpei, the character followed during the story is awakened by a detonation and discovers that he is imprisoned in one of the cabins.

His abductor, a mysterious person named Zero, selected him to participate in the Nonary Game, a competition in which the participants are called to put their lives at stake.

As the title of the game suggests, the player is brought to meet eight other captives.
Each character embodies a strong personality
and possess a different charisma, a different past and a different view of events.
