A Monk's Musings #4: A Defense (and Critique) of Dungeons & Dragons 4th Edition
After 3 months i'm back. This one's gonna hurt.
Additional Notes
MAD: Multiple Ability Dependency. Used to refer to classes who need more than two high ability scores to be efficient in their role: Examples include the 3e Monk and the 4e Star Pact Warlock.
Book of Nine Swords: An 3rd Edition expansion that was that was controversial for its use of spell-like special attacks for martial characters, called "Sword Magic". Some criticized it for being too anime while others praised it for giving fighters something to do.
AD&D Aping: I said that because it was essentials that started the subclass trend that was somewhat in AD&D and now is 5e's replacement for prestige classes.
End Notes: I said 2-week schedule, but the emphasis is "trying to". Especially with the amount of work i'm gonna have to put into the next project.
