A New Africa in Arcadia . . . Liberie
944Today I'm playing the Divergences of Darkness Fan Fork Mod in Victoria II. A few months back the mod added a new update to the Americas (Called Arcadia and Amergia in DoD). This update added various paths for countries to choose from including Plantagenia which had a few interesting ones. If no action is taken by the king (Louis I) to enter into the discussion of reforming slavery, the slaves in Louisian will revolt and form the new nation of Liberie. If successful, the nation will suffer serious opposition from most of the world along with internal issues that simulate what happened in Haiti after the revolution in our timeline.

Sorry for my extended absence. I had a video planned for the end of April but it never happened because of a medical issue. If you want some context on this I made a community post about it. Let me summarize what has happened since that community post. A few days after I made the post my root canal was finalized and sealed up. Talking was not easy so it became impossible to continue my unfinished recordings. On top of that I had 3 weeks of final exams. Once my exams were over I had to deal with another surgery. A cyst was found where my gum was infected and in order to ensure it wouldn't spread I had to get surgery to remove it. It was painless but it made it even more difficult to speak as too much movement could break the stitches. I only started to feel comfortable again around the first week of June. It's been about a month since the cyst was removed and its only a minor inconvenience now. I may make a more in-depth explanation in a future video but this should clear things up about where I've been.
