With a million dollar grant from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, WPI will build out a new research and development center to help ensure safety and security in the semi-conductor industry. With a high powered, high tech piece of equipment, researchers will work with industry partners to identify flaws in computer chips. This will also support new STEM jobs and workforce development.
