A non-biased quick look @ 'Doom' - Let me tell you a story.... Back in 1993 my friends and I use to play Doom PVP competitively. We fancied our chances playing ID Software's Development team.
To get their attention we sent them a ransom note which went along the lines of "Dear ID Software, we have kidnapped one of your imps and demand a PVP deathmatch for his safe return"
John Carmack replied back with "Anywhere, Anytime!" :)
Sadly we never got to play the amazing guys at ID software, but John Carmack did email me a few years later to see how the imp was, my reply was "He's missing hell and put a bit of weight on! hehe" ;)
As for the new Doom.... well, I'm as excited now as I was back then. The single player campaign in the new Doom is FRICKING AMAZING! - Enough said!
