Pokemon Fire Red Omega is the first in a line of fantastic ROM hacks from Drayano, made in 2009, Fire Red Omega would take the original Fire Red and improve it greatly while keeping many of the old generation 3 mechanics, overall I think that this game is great because it doesn't change too much and instead focuses on polishing the original while adding more pokemon you can get. This game is also much much harder than the original requiring skill to nuzlocke it effectively. While the old generation 3 mechanics like the lack of physical special split and such were seen as outdated and frustrating, I did find it nostalgic to play with these old features again.
In this video I'll be analysing what I thought of this game and whether or not it still holds up to this day compared to newer Kanto hacks like Nameless Fire Red.
