The A220 Family is a series of narrow-body, twin-engine jet airliners developed by Airbus. It was originally known as the Bombardier CSeries before Airbus acquired a majority stake in the program in 2018. The A220 Family includes two models: the A220-100 and the A220-300.
The A220-100 has a seating capacity of 100-135 passengers and a range of up to 3,200 nautical miles. It is designed for shorter routes and offers excellent fuel efficiency and low operating costs. The A220-300, on the other hand, has a seating capacity of 130-160 passengers and a range of up to 3,450 nautical miles. It is suitable for longer routes and offers similar fuel efficiency and operating costs as the A220-100.
Both models of the A220 Family feature advanced aerodynamics, state-of-the-art materials, and Pratt & Whitney PW1500G geared turbofan engines, which contribute to their fuel efficiency and reduced environmental impact.
