Airbus A380's 1st take off from Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) in Manila to Clark, Pampanga, Philippines on October 12, 2007.
(2019) The Airbus A380, the biggest passenger aircraft is being retired after just 12 years in commercial service.
This rare video of MSN 009 (now Emirates Airbus A380-861 with registration A6-EDJ ) taken from Ninoy Aquino International Airport - NAIA / RPLL Runway 24 on October 12, 2007 AM, during taxi and takeoff after finishing its route proving tour in the Manila, Philippines.
Getting too close to the taxiway gave us the experience of what feels like to be almost blown away by the jet blast of its 4 powerful Engine Alliance GP7000 while taxiing towards runway 24.
Year 2019 - It was announced that Airbus will stop the production of A380s due to high cost. 2 A380s were already scrapped for parts out.
Sept. 5, 2019 - Emirates announced that they are retiring 2 A380s (already deactivated) in their fleet and use its parts for replacement & maintenance of their other A380s.
