I never really noticed before, but the experimental squids, in the Duke's Archives, started fleeing from me wh en I attacked them, and still had the horrible music playing. I don't know if this is a glitch or something, but when I attacked them on a different character they didn't try to flee when I h it them. I couldn't get the one to leave the room though. Poor little squid.
