Abandoned Video Games, A Legal Resurrection
How do we bypass security measures designed to protect old video games while allowing us to save them? Well ... this has been a fight for the past 3 years with museums (MADE) and other institutions asking the librarian of congress to issue an exemption from copyright law (DMCA) which will allow them to rebuild old game servers that have long been turned off in an attempt to p[reserve old games for future generations. Now, Washington has given us their decision.
