This was a mass choral performance of a Romantic-period song called "Abendlied" (or "Evening Song" in German), composed by Josef Rheinberger from his Op. 69, No. 3, performed at the annual E Himeni Kakou collegiate choral festival this year, at Central Union Church. Participating schools included choruses from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, the University of Hawaii - West Oahu (us!), Hawaii Pacific University, Leeward Community College, Kapiolani Community College, and Kapolei High School. The talented singers from all walks of life numbered well over 300. I sang the low-ish tenor part (if you look really closely, I'm a speck of white amongst the sea of black, near the front/center area of the men's section).

The English translation to the lyrics ("Bleib bei uns, denn es will Abend werden, und der Tag hat sich geneiget") is, "Bide with us, for evening shadows darken, and the day will soon be over."

Credit to the video goes to a fellow performer's husband, who was standing pretty far back in the church while he filmed on his smartphone. Sorry for the shakeyness, lol.
