Welcome back to my Life is Strange, Episode 2: Out of Time playthrough, this is Part 8! This was an absolute rollercoaster to play, from the train, to the fun science experiment, to Kate. It was so difficult for me and I am absolutely devastated at the outcome. I'm angry that the developers decided to gamify something so serious. The panelists at PAX for the Serious Topics in Serious Games talked about how the interactive nature of gaming impacts the role that a player takes when exploring topics like this, and I think in this case that the developers made the wrong decision, even when you take in to account the main mechanic of this game. I am someone who has been to hospital because of interrupted attempts, and playing this hurt me so much and I cried for a long time when I turned the camera off.
