AC All fights in any% speedrun tutorial – part 2
Part 1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q4ine6RwRJk
0:00 In front of the museum
Enemies are spread across the whole street so it will take a while for them to gather up and there is not much you can do about that. Make sure that you're seen ahead of the start
You may or may not have critical strikes and combo boost for this and the next two fights. As you can see, that doesn't make much difference because of how long it takes for the furthest thug to run over.
0:25 First museum fight (2 thugs)
Showing just a few ways (out of many) to get rid of two standing enemies. Practically applies for a lot of other fights in the game.
1:17 Once you've got the combo boost upgrade, the best order for this situation is: batarang while running (x1), jump-kick (x3), critical strike (x5), multi-takedown. Consider this for any future fight.
1:32 1st jammer (combo boost)
This is the first fight where combo boost speeds it up quite a bit. If you don't have it yet, you can upgrade critical strikes alone; but i still think it's better to wait on it (you will get it after 3rd jammer anyway even in nocat%).
2:03 1st jammer (without boost)
I tried a few ways to use glide kick here but it's still rather slow and in the end i think it's easier to drop on the ground and approach it like any other fight. In this time enemies sometimes take a while to "activate" so it's better to do a couple of strikes at the start because batarangs can just miss.
2:35 Returning to the museum (fight skip)
2:47 In case you were noticed. This is an example for any fight with 3 or more enemies: batarang while running (x1), jump-kick (x3), NON-CRITICAL strike (x4), one-to-three batarangs (x5), multi-takedown. I intentionally fail critical strike (by double-pressing the button), because crits get a slow-mo effect, and getting x5 also does that, and those multiply. When possible, make sure that you get x5 with batarangs.
3:20 First armored enemy
Do not start this fight with "batarang while running" because it will just knock the first enemy down and stop you from building a combo. Build multi-takedown on two normal thugs, and the armored one just gets a REC-shot in between.
4:00 Arena (explosive gel trick)
Batman with prep time is overpowered. You can place explosive gel before the fight starts, and it will stun a lot of enemies for a long time (but quickgel doesn't do that). This only works on the first try, after restarting the cutscene activates too fast.
5:12 less effective backup strat
5:35 without using gel: this is how you handle big fights in general. For a better example and more detailed explanation refer to my old video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hi1trI..., but it's not very likely to always work that way. Better to take your time for a safer approach than to risk getting hit and losing combo.
For the first multitakedown: batarang while running, jump-kick, non-critical strike, three batarangs.
For next multitakedowns (if possible): crit, crit, three batarangs.
Don't forget to place gel after the fight to prepare for the Titan, like i did.
6:01 Titan
To drop from the titan as soon as possible, let him do a couple of swipes (more for timing than for damage), then two shock attacks and he will throw you off. Now you'll have to improvise a bit because this fight will never be the same twice.
6:54 Three thugs before the Sickle.
One of them is armored again. The only problem he might cause is if you shoot him with REC and it knocks him onto another guy, and you won't be able to build combo
7:28 Sickle
Usually i take my time to destroy the canister on the left (throw two batarangs because the first one will hit the button). Otherwise one of the thugs runs for it and out of my reach.
There is an exact order of actions for this fight that almost always allows me to get all four thugs
Make sure you got everyone before attacking Sickle: he doesn't die from one "last hit", but his health is still drastically reduces. Instead of evading his attacks you can do "empty" multi-takedown which is slightly faster.
