[AC Black Flag] Played the unpatched disc version to Defeat the Twin Legendary Ships
1Chain Shot did NOT stun enemy ships when I played the game patched, but it STUNNED them when I played unpatched.
I have the disc so I can play unpatched. I removed the disc, turned off the Internet from the console (so it wouldn't automatically install the patch), inserted the disc and played.
Patched: Chain Shot Stun didn't work on any ship, some small performance issues causing my ship to turn too slow when there was much on screen
Unpatched: Chain Shot Stun worked, graphics quality slightly worse but no more performance issues
So if you buy this game now or want to replay it, if you can play unpatched I recommend doing so. I played the whole game patche now and years ago, still a great experience!
But I'm still pissed that it took me over 2 hours of tries patched, but completed it on my second try and under 10 minutes unpatched.
