Nominations for the 2011 Academy Awards were announced early today.  ''The King's Speech'' leads the field with 12 nominations, including Best Picture, Actor, Director, Supporting Actor and Supporting Actress.  All total, there are 10 films vying for Best Picture, including ''The Social Network,'' ''The King's Speech,'' ''True Grit,'' ''The Fighter,'' ''Black Swan,'' ''127 Hours,'' ''Inception,'' ''The Kids Are All Right,'' ''Winter's Bone'' and ''True Grit.''

In addition to the 12 Oscar nominations for ''The King's Speech,'' other films that garnered multiple nominations include ''True Grit,'' with 10, and ''The Social Network'' and ''Inception'' with eight. 
 
Best Actor Oscar nominations went to Javier Bardem for ''Biutiful,'' Jeff Bridges for ''True Grit,'' Jesse Eisenberg for ''The Social Network,'' Colin Firth for ''The King's Speech'' and James Franco for ''127 Hours.''

Nominees for Best Actress include Annette Bening for ''The Kids Are All Right,'' Natalie Portman for ''Black Swan,'' Nicole Kidman for ''Rabbit Hole,'' Michelle Williams for ''Blue Valentine'' and Jennifer Lawrence for ''Winter's Bone.''

Best Supporting Actor nominations went to Christian Bale for ''The Fighter,'' Geoffrey Rush for ''The King's Speech,'' Mark Ruffalo for ''The Kids Are All Right,'' Jeremy Renner for ''The Town'' and John Hawkes for ''Winter's Bone.''

Best Supporting Actress nominees this year include Melissa Leo for ''The Fighter,'' Helena Bonham Carter for ''The King's Speech,'' Hailee Steinfeld for ''True Grit,'' Amy Adams for ''The Fighter'' and Jacki Weaver for ''Animal Kingdom.''

Ballots for the 83rd Academy Awards will be mailed to the more than 5,700 members of the Academy on February 2, 2011.  This year's Academy Awards show airs on Sunday, February 27, 2011, live from the Kodak Theater in Hollywood.
