What the modder has done was add the length of the track to the menu. This gives players the option to choose what track to play on without going into Google and searching how long the track is.
In addition, if you go look at the conditions, you will see modded weathers were added, depending on the track.
Typically, you have Morning, Dusk, and Night. Some tracks now have Rain, Heavy Rain, Fog, Snow, Snow_Blizzard, etc. These new weather affects may present a new challenge when driving from the cockpit.
