Directed by Takuya Iwasaki and Atsushi Shiozawa, Ace Combat 3: Electrosphere was released for the PS1 in 1999 (Japan) and 2000 (internationally).

Developed and published by Namco, the game's futuristic setting and style marks a departure from the first two in the series. So, too, does the more ambitious structure of the game; players can make choices during several missions, which will lead to the game branching out into different paths of missions - and ultimately lead to a different ending (of which there are 5 in total).

Sadly, these features were cut back in the international version due to financial constraints. This version doesn't even have voice acting, among many other cuts to its content.
