This mission solidified my love for this game. It's a pretty difficult mission in your first play through if you don't have a decent aircraft. As long as you kill fast and keep the AWACs up high then you'll get an S rank.

ODMM - Omnidirectional multipurpose missiles. They're basically XMAAs and LASMs put together. So pretty much amazing. Can lock onto air and ground targets from around 2500.

Wing - Thornback Fin (Stability Up)
Armor - Light Armor (Light Weight/Defense Down)
Avionics - GAF-1 Type AA (Mobility Up/Air to Air Up/Auto GUN Reticle)

Spawns when you destroy the first 2 weapon bays on the first super weapon that appears. Will spawn over on the West side of Midway island and will fly through the middle. To get the S rank for this mission and the Ace it's best to wait until the 2nd wave of enemy fighters spawn, kill the 2 near Canopus and then fly over and grab it then head to the other 2 fighters that are coming from the North side.
