Adafruit's Floppy board writes Apple II Floppies using a standard PC floppy drive #adafruit #apple2
Jeff Epler recently contributed code to FluxEngine making it possible to write Apple II disks using a FluxEngine-compatible floppy interface, such as the prototype Adafruit Floppy board.
In this demo, jepler uses a standard PC 5.25" floppy drive (TEAC model FD-55GFR) connected with the Adafruit Floppy board to write a floppy disk with a classic educational game downloaded from archive.org: Number Munchers.
Previously we've demonstrated how using the Adafruit Floppy interface you can read and write disks for PC and Commodore 64, and also read disks for Mac including crunchy old 400kB and 800kB floppies, which PCs have traditionally been unable to read.
Want to try your hand at Number Munchers and prove that you know what a prime number is? You don't need an Apple II, just play it in an emulator: https://archive.org/details/MECC_A170_v10_4amCrack
