Step into the legendary world of Dragonlance with War of the Lance, the 1989 turn-based strategy game developed by Strategic Simulations, Inc. (SSI). Based on the epic Advanced Dungeons & Dragons (AD&D) campaign setting, this classic brings the War of the Lance to life like never before!
🗺️ Gameplay Overview:
Play from a top-down strategy map, commanding heroes and units from the iconic Whitestone Alliance or the evil Highlord forces. In single-player, take command of the Whitestone faction. In two-player mode, a second player controls the Highlord armies.
Conquer or be conquered! Dominate the map by seizing enemy capitals (like Neraka, Solanthus, and the Clerist Tower), or win by strategy points before time runs out in 354 AC. Each year has 5 strategic turns, making every move count!
📖 Campaign & Scenario Modes:
Campaign Mode (348 AC): Start before the Whitestone Alliance is formed. Build your strength from nothing.
Scenario Mode (349 AC): Jump into the war at full scale, with major battles underway can you save besieged Silvanesti?
