Aegis Academy is the world's premier adventuring school. Students take a three-year program and graduate as professionally licensed adventurers. The campaign follows Team Moonshadow, currently ranked as the top team of all first-year students.
After being rescued on Aegis Academy island, Team Moonshadow is placed under heavy guard at the academy to keep them protected. It's then realized that headmaster Sprada Sen-Dao has left the school to plan to end his father, Suzaku Sen-Dao, the former headmaster, former Tolerian Commander General, and current leader of the Black Ops group Tenebris.
After being ordered to stay at the school by Sprada's twin sister Archmage Selene Sen-Dao also leaves with one of her old teammates and the current guardian of Team Moonshadow, Crown Prince Trent Illyioni of Hafalion, as her daughter Avarice Calderia, Crown Princess of the Drow kingdom of Zansos, had also decided to take off after her grandfather Suzaku, planning to end him herself for him ending the lives of her teammates.
And, of course, Team Moonshadow ends up finding a way to the Blacksoul Graveyard and into the underground fortress.
