0The Kawasaki C-1 is a twin-engine, short-range military transport aircraft which was introduced into the Japan Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF) in 1974. Even though it is still in active service as of this writing, the C-1 will eventually be replaced fully by the newer Kawasaki C-2 (which entered service in 2016 and has a larger cargo capacity plus longer range compared to the aging C-1).
