The After Earth game is an endless runner, similar in feel to Temple Run. The game's main character has all the tools and skills of the film's characters, and as such, the gameplay goes beyond just running. You'll have to glide, freefall and zipline through a variety of terrain on this far-future, desolate earth.
The game also includes a combat mode, in which you can fight enemies by striking them with a variety of taps. There are even tougher boss battles in the game.
After Earth has 20 missions that include secret levels in its Story Mode, along with an Infinite Mode that allows you to travel as far as possible through the variety of worlds.
In the After Earth film, Will Smith and his son, Jaden, portray Cypher and Kitai Raige as Rangers in a far-off human colony on an abandoned Earth. The two return to Earth on a mission, but an asteroid belt crashes their ship, injuring Cypher. Kitai must brave the former Earth's treacherous terrain, which is filled with giant animals that evolve to hunt humans.
After Earth's mobile game is available to download for 99 cents on both iOS and Android. The film is out May 31 in theaters across the country.
