In the "Manzikert" mission, the second scenario of the Battles of the Conquerors campaign, players take on the role of the Seljuk Turks. The mission begins in the Castle Age with starting resources of 1,000 food, 500 wood, and 1,000 gold. Players face the heavily armored Byzantine army.

The mission is set in Anatolia, and players must capture three towns to receive tributes from the Byzantine Themes of Galatia, Pisidia, and Cappadocia. These tributes provide essential resources, making the mission easier despite its initial difficulty. Players must strategically allocate their resources, build and upgrade defenses, and utilize their military units effectively to withstand the relentless enemy attacks.

The mission tests players' tactical skills and resilience as they strive to protect their territory and achieve victory. Although I initially found it challenging, the resource tributes significantly eased the difficulty, allowing for a more manageable gameplay experience.
