Hey,
Lets take a look at Age of Empires: Definitive Edition. I'm playing the game at native 4k with each zoom detail setting set to 1x,2x and 4x. Which is like setting the game at ultra. So here's bit of random gameplay.
Game perfomance is little weird. More zoomed you are in the game runs smoother but if you zoom out then it starts to lag even on GTX 1070 and 1080. Maybe perfomance will be improved in the future updates or just left like this. But game is playable at certain zoom levels.

GPU: GeForce GTX 1070 8gb OC
CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7700K CPU @ 4.20GHz
Memory: 16 GB DDR4 RAM
HDD: 2TB
